We’re now a part of the Ripple Family.

February 1, 2018 by mrplow Leave a Comment

We’re super pumped to announce that we’re now a part of the Ripple Family! That’s right, Ripple is going to release our new record, Maintain Radio Silence, on vinyl (and all the other forms, too). That means a few things, not the least of which is that we’re delaying the release of the album until the summer. But that’s cool–we’re a summer fun kinda band anyway. More soon, but for now, we’ve added some regional shows to the calendar:

February 24th–with Large Marge and Vermilion Whisky in Lafayette, LA

March 15th–Stoner Daze in Austin. We play at 5:30

March 16th–Sell Your Soul (Ripple Showcase) in San Antonio

Come hang out with us on the road! Just look for our van. You can’t miss it.

Fellowship of the Fuzz II

Awww yeah–we’re heading back to Rudz on the 4th of August with our good buds, The Dirty Seeds (Houston’s finest stonerrockers), and Vermillion Whisky from Lousiana. Only three bands, so we all have room to rock. We’ll be playing two new ones slated for our September recording sessions for the new album, Maintain Radio Silence. Be there!

Breaking Our Silence

May 15, 2017 by mrplow Leave a Comment

Well, folks, it’s been a long time since we’ve recorded. Our last album, Asteroid 25399, was released in 2006. We then went into a long hiatus while I (Greg) moved to Florida for three years. But the time has come. We’ve now written 14(!) new tunes, and have been regularly playing more than half of them live. We’ve got studio time on the calendar for the last two weeks in September at Lucky Run studios in Houston, where our bandmate, Cory Cousins, recorded with his other band, Blues Funeral.

The title of the new album will be Maintain Radio Silence. It will be the first album with Cory on drums. Cory’s energy and musical inventiveness have given us renewed life and drive to rock. The new songs are clearly Plow songs but are also a clear evolution in our sound: shorter, punchier, and maybe heavier than anything we’ve done before. We’ve all been recording demos of ideas and sharing them back and forth, building the songs up before we even get together to work on them as a unit. And the ideas just keep coming. We’re talking about releasing this on vinyl as a double album. We’re also in the process of getting our first three albums on iTunes and Spotify and other streaming services.

I’ve never been more excited about the music we’re creating. Hope to see you at a show soon. The pic below is from our recent gig at Rudz with Ape Machine, Pyreship, and The Dirty Seeds.
